Podiums and Pace – Waberski and Havers Impress on GT Cup Debut at Snetterton

After a delayed start to their 2025 GT Cup Championship campaign, Jarrod Waberski and Mark Havers made a strong entrance at Snetterton this past weekend, bagging two class podiums and proving the pace and potential of the #58 Lamborghini Super Trofeo Evo 2.

Fresh off a stunning Silver Cup victory in the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup at Monza, Waberski brought that momentum straight into Saturday’s action. In his first competitive outing in the car, he qualified 2nd in class, in damp conditions and delivered a mature and calculated drive on slicks in changing weather, holding his ground to finish 2nd in class and 2nd overall in the opening sprint race.

In Saturday’s pit stop race, Havers took the start from P2 but faced challenges finding rhythm amidst a competitive field. After the driver change, Jarrod climbed into the cockpit and lit up the timing screens with a rapid stint, bringing the car up to P4 in class – a solid result that underscored their potential as a team.

Sunday brought fresh challenges and more highlights. Havers continued to make big strides with improved lap times and qualified the Lamborghini 5th in class. He carried that pace into the first 50-minute pit stop race of the day, but a pit window miscalculation forced the team to serve a penalty after a premature stop. Despite the setback, Waberski rejoined and relentlessly chased down the competition, closing the gap and salvaging 5th in class.

In the final sprint race, Havers took the wheel and faced early drama with a first-corner spin and puncture scare. Despite the chaos, he recovered superbly, fought hard, and brought the #58 home in 3rd place – earning his first podium finish and securing the team’s second trophy of the weekend.

“This weekend was full of firsts and progress,” said Waberski. “It was my first time in the Lamborghini and I’m really proud of what we achieved as a team. The car felt great, the pace was there, and it’s been awesome working with Mark to help us both grow stronger every session. Huge thanks to everyone at the team for their hard work and to all the supporters cheering us on!”

The Snetterton weekend marks a positive start to Jarrod’s and Mark’s GT Cup journey, with promising pace, teamwork, and silverware already on display. The team now looks ahead to the next round with confidence and momentum.
